What You’ll Be Doing

You will work closely with our Account Directors/Executives to manage a book of corporate commercial clients. Being the client’s first point of contact for cover queries, midterm adjustments, quotations for additional insurances, document issue and many other tasks and projects. You will help us to meet their demands and needs effectively and will champion the building of strong internal and external relationships. In addition, you will also broke to the market your client portfolio and as required meet with clients face to face.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Dealing with more complex Commercial Accounts;
  • Negotiate effectively with insurers to get the best possible insurance programme and outcomes for our clients
  • Engage with the market within the scope of the broking strategy and matrix
  • Building and maintaining effective professional relationships with both Clients and Insurers;
  • Offering advice about existing products and promoting value added services;
  • Handling and responding to product queries from clients quickly, efficiently and accurately;
  • Supporting other Account Handlers with technical queries as required;
  • Assisting with internal technical audits
  • Check and send out proposals and policy documents
  • Dealing with mid-term adjustments, renewals, new business quotations
  • Keeping abreast of market conditions and developments;
  • Building up detailed knowledge about the products available in the market;
  • A strong desire to maintain technical Insurance Knowledge through managing your own CPD
  • Complete all administration and paperwork in accordance with Company Procedures.
  • Treat customers fairly at all times having assessed their specific needs.
  • Ensure that you conduct yourself in accordance with FCA rules and guidelines as issued by the company.

Experience & Skills Required

  • High level of Technical Insurance knowledge or demonstrating that you are working towards
  • Good telephone manner, strong communication skills
  • Committed, thorough and accurate worker
  • Organisational and time management skills are essential as well as a client focused approach
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • ACII Qualification preferable or ability to demonstrate that you are moving towards this.
