Neurodiversity Week

This week, The Romero Group is displaying its awareness of invisible disabilities and neurodiversity.

Neurodiversity is the collective understanding of the infinite variation of human neurocognitions, examples include Dyslexia, Autism and Tourette’s.”

The week’s aim is to make everyone feel confident in expressing themselves, whilst celebrating the variety of innovative ideas, skills and ways of thinking that make Romero Group the successful and vibrant workplace it is.

In addition, many of our clients, employees and families may have, or be affected by, characteristics that fall into the realm of neurodiversity, therefore it is important we can all display awareness and understanding.

Walking around the Leeds office, you will see new posters which have been framed. These highlight the messages of the week, each containing a Learn A Word, involving the definition of a type of neurocognitive disability. This will assist in the completion of a Getfeedback form at the end of the week. Anyone who completes the form will be entered into a prize draw for an Amazon gift voucher.

Sam Roper, Broker at the Halifax office, will be delivering a presentation over Teams on Friday 8th. It will involve his experiences as a person with Asperger’s working in insurance. It promises to be very informative and useful for manager and colleagues.
